Japanese paper earrings - Uteki Collection

These earrings are entirely handmade in our workshop near Lyon.
Beneath the gilded brass hook are two small fans made of Japanese Washi Chiyogami paper. A teardrop-shaped gold sequin completes the pair of earrings. The name of this collection, "Uteki," means "drop" in Japanese.

Japanese paper is coated with a layer of resin which initially hardens the paper but also provides protection against external elements such as rain, sun and UV rays.
All materials are guaranteed to be free of nickel, lead, and cadmium .

For unpierced ears , we offer free replacement of the clasp with a brass and silicone attachment: it attaches well to the earlobe and without pain (see last photo).
