A few years ago, we set up creative workshops in Lyon and the Lyon region to introduce origami and Japanese bookbinding to adults and children of all levels , as well as to businesses.
We are delighted to be able to develop these workshops and offer them to as many people as possible. Indeed, sharing our passion is very important to us, and we invite you to join us for a wonderful moment of creation and discovery .

What are the different workshops we offer?
1 - Creating a string of lights under a glass dome
This workshop involves creating a beautiful origami string of lights under a glass dome, to decorate your home .
You have a wide selection of French and Japanese papers at your disposal. You will learn how to fold origami paper to create cubic shapes. With these shapes, you will string them along an LED garland to create a pretty string of lights.
This garland is then placed in a glass bell jar, in order to make it a truly decorative and utilitarian object .

2 - Creating a pair of origami earrings
In this workshop, you will learn to make two pretty origami cranes (a lucky animal in Japan!), which will become an original pair of earrings to wear every day.
You will have access to a wide selection of Japanese papers. You will learn how to fold origami paper into tiny shapes and varnish it (to protect it from rain and UV rays). You will also discover how to mount the cranes on rods and hooks so they become a true pair of jewelry.
This will teach you how to make a beautiful and unique pair of earrings !
3 - Creation and binding of a Japanese notebook
Learn how to make your own personalized Japanese notebook that you can take everywhere! Travel journal, recipe book, pocket notebook—perfect for your desk or to slip into your bag ...
You will have access to a wide selection of Japanese papers. You will learn how to glue and create the notebook cover. You will also discover the technique of Japanese binding, using embroidery thread , to finish and secure your notebook.

Where do the workshops take place?
You can choose to have them made in our workshop in Beaujolais (35 minutes from Lyon by car) or in Lyon itself, at your home . This allows us to cover a wide area in Lyon and the surrounding region.
You can choose the most suitable place to discover these artisanal techniques.
We offer creative workshops in bookbinding, origami jewelry, and origami decoration for up to 8 people . This allows you to book our workshops for group events such as birthdays, hen parties, stag parties, baptisms, etc.

What skill levels are required for the workshops?
For our paper-based workshops, no prior experience is required – how magical is that?!
Indeed, the beginner or inexperienced level does not pose any problems because we teach you all the techniques and masteries from A to Z.
So don't worry, we adapt to all levels: from novices to the most experienced!
Can I offer one of your workshops as a gift?
Of course! Our workshops are for you or as a gift for a loved one.
